Open 7 days a week 10am-5pm and The Hungry Crow Next Door will be offering ice cream, deli sandwiches, local cheese and meats, locally crafted beer, Pies, Grab N Go Meals and so much more.
Local history shows that our building has been here since 1898. Frank Kelly arrived in town and enlisted local builders to construct this five + story building into the existing landscape. It was easy to bring the horses up the ramp and into the stable below and the wagons were rolled inside at the street level, out of the weather, while owners boarded the train for business or pleasure in towns below.
My family purchased the property at 292 Main Street April 1st 1995 and we opened for business Thanksgiving weekend 1996. Since that day we have expanded in many ways. Not only have we filled the 7,000 sq. ft of the two floors of the original building once used as a livery, but then I purchased the historic “Dr. Lee” building next door and added a new department we call the Hungry Crow. This new endeavor offers a market and tasting room. Our vision is to offer as many local and regional products as possible. Summers we serve fabulous soft serve and hard ice cream directly from the dairy. Eating close to the source is a mindset that we support. We offer cheeses, maple products, chocolate crafted in town, locally roasted coffees and so much more to our guests.
Browse around and see what we have to offer. Check out the About Us page to learn more about Hudson River Trading Co. and our philosophy. Meet our staff and find out more about our restored buildings and this historic ski town of North Creek, NY, located in the most spectacular region of New York State – The Adirondack Mountains.
We are happy to share its bounty with you.

Design Center Vacation Rentals
We love to restore old buildings, so when the opportunity to purchase the adjacent building presented itself, we jumped at the opportunity. This 1800’s historic building had been the home to a country doctor and his family for generations. Along the way a number or other businesses had called it home, so we were delighted to put our renovation skills to work. New windows and doors, insulation, plumbing and a new heating system were just a start. After almost 8 months of hard work we introduced our pride and joy. Now we had a design site to show people how we could work with them to make their projects harmonize. From wall colors to fabrics, carpeting and furniture that fit the personality of the building. Our furniture craftsmen created custom cabinetry for us and we poured the amazing concrete countertops in the barn on the property. We squeezed the nickel till the buffalo pooped! We know how to achieve goals under a budget.
Now you can use our design center for a vacation rental. Weekends or by the week. We have tried to add very special amenities for your enjoyment. And we are conveniently located on Main Street North Creek overlooking Gore Mountain on the front porch and The Hudson River on the back porch. Close to wine bars and grocery stores, taverns and shopping. You can jump in the Hudson River with your kayak in the back and ride 15K of single track professionally built mountain bike trails in the adjacent Town Park. Give us a call we would love to host you.
